I want to thank all of my blogging friends who responded to my last post. Your wisdom was invaluable and helped us tons! Last night was a much better night. A friend came over yesterday and suggested letting Sadie sleep with my shirt and it would help soothe her if she could smell me. So, we combined several things last night. We let her lay in my arms until we were sure she was asleep and then layed her down on my shirt and it really seemed to make a huge difference. We aren't getting our hopes up yet, because just when we seem to know what Sadie will do, she will choose to do the opposite!!! We really liked the heating pad idea, Abby. We plan on trying that next!! You all have no idea how much your encouragement meant to me, thank you friends!!!
And now, a picture for you...we took Sadie for a walk yesterday and she seemed to like it. She fell fast asleep!! :)

You probably already know this, Laura, but I think they are "supposed" to go through a growth spurt at around 2 weeks. We had a couple of rough nights with extra fussing and feedings around then if I remember correctly, but apparently it's "normal." They go through another one at 6 weeks - joy! :-)
I'm glad that last night was better for you. Things seem to be settling into more of a pattern for us too, thank goodness. Last night I was able to lay Cady down while she was still awake!!!
Hey Laura!! Thanks for finding the time to post and letting us know how it's going. I'm always sooo curious about how my friends are doing as new moms, because it can be such a trying time. And lack of sleep can be rough. I did BabyWise with Ellie and Luke-Ellie pretty much wrote the book and even though I did the exact same thing with Luke, he didn't start sleeping through the night until much later than Ellie. All that to say, every baby is different. Just curious-is she taking a pacie? That was always my lifesaver. Of course, we weren't able to finally get it away from Ellie until she was 3! But it was worth it-I will do it again with this one. Love you!! Hang in there-you're doing great!
LOVE this picture of Sadie by the way - too cute!
That t-shirt thing did work really well for mine also! I had completely forgotten about that! I hope it's still helping!
Adorable picture! She looks so very content. Sweet, sweet, sweet!
