Siblings

As Jackson is getting older, he and Sadie are playing and interacting more and more. It is so cute...at times. And at times, I want to pull my hair out as Jack pulls a toy out of Sadie's hands and she screams and then she proceeds to do the exact same thing to him. And this routine continues over and over throughout the day. I am learning how to guide them on how to share toys with each other. How to speak to each other in love. Sadie is working on the verse, "A soft answer turns away wrath" Prov. 15:1 Some days she gets it...and some days she is still learning! I am so thankful for these two precious kids that Father has entrusted to us. It is so fun learning from them and teaching them truths from Father. I pray that these two will continue to grow up loving each other and always put the other first. And as they seek to know Father may they learn to love as Christ loves us.
Aren't they just precious?

One of those days

Moms, do you ever have one of those days when you think that bedtime can not just get here fast enough? Well, as I am sure you can relate, today was one of those days for me. As I began to put the kids down my patience was getting thinner and thinner as I was trying to rush through the routine faster. I am just being honest with you guys, it was a hard day. I was up earlier than usual with Sadie, Jack didn't nap well so therefore mommy was running on lack of sleep. As I put Sadie down this evening, I was sterner with her than usual. I felt so guilty for it after wards. I just wanted to run back into her room and cuddle with her but knew that I didn't need to do that. For about a month or more Sadie has been really testing me trying to prolong bed time. And therefore the need for a stern mommy. After she had been down an hour she started crying again. I had had enough. I went in and she needed to potty. So, off we go to the potty. After she was finished, she looked at me gave me a huge hug and kiss and said, "Mommy, God made me for His Glory." What? My precious angel was getting it! We had been working on this for a while and she got it. She said, I am gonna get back in my bed and go to sleep and not cry. And that she did. I needed that tonight. I needed that bit of wisdom from my 2 year old. I stopped and thanked God for His Grace on nights when we mommies are tired and lose our patience. Thank you Father for the sweet innocence of my 2 year old. Oh may she continue to grasp how wide, how deep and how long the Love of our Father is.

A LONG Break

Okay, so I have officially taken a very long break from blogging. Why you ask? Oh I don't know. I have no good reason. Isn't that awful? I do take the time to read what others are up to. I have laughed, cried and enjoyed reading what is going on in the lives of mothers just like myself. So, now I thought that it was time that I update the few of you that still are here with me in my little space of the blog world.
We are still in transition. Clark is still job hunting. I am still chasing after two toddlers! There isn't much to report on our family but goodness, I could make this simple post be about all of the funny things that Sadie says. I really should record them, she comes up with some pretty funny things! Like last night she was in the bathroom and yelling at me, "Miss Laura, Miss Laura" That girl, she will keep you in stitches!
Jack seems to be getting a little more daring. Today I found him on the coffee table, STANDING UP! Yes, he is definitely all boy! Sadie never climbed. He tries to see just how far and how high he can go!
Lately, I have been thinking about what I want this blog to be. Do I want it to be one that I write about the kiddos? Do I want it to be about what Father is teaching me? I hope you don't mind, but I think it will be both.
Right now I am just writing what is coming to my head. Thankful that you are here with me despite the fact that I am rambling.
Okay, there, I did it. I wrote a blog post! Now, I am going to at least give you some cuteness from my children. Next time I will actually put some thought to it. But at least you know we are alive and kicking! :)

My sweet Jack loving his new found freedom in walking by himself

Like I said, he is all boy, naturally with one hand on the wheel and one out the window
This was back at Valentines Day making sugar cookies....boy, did she love them!

And last but not least, one of me and my girl!
