Back Home....Just waiting on Miss Sadie....

Once again, Abby has inspired me to write and let you all know how things are going :) I have this habit of getting online, reading everyone else's blog and then never writing my own entry!
I am back home after being out of town and having two baby showers!! I was worn out. It has taken me a few days to recover. I have realized that being in a car for 3 hours just isn't possible anymore. I drove home from Scottsboro and had a baby shower all in one day. Needless to say my poor feet and hands were sooo swollen! I did get a lot of fun gifts at the showers though. I loved opening up each gift and seeing how sweet little girl things can be! Sadie has enough clothes to last her forever I think! And I still have two more showers to go!!
Yesterday I experienced my first real Braxton Hicks contractions. Man, those things were painful! I am glad that I have read as much as I have because I would have thought that they were the real thing. But they never got "worse" but in the end got better, so I knew it was just false. I kept thinking, if I am having a hard time with these, how in the world will I deal with "real" labor pains!! Oh my....
I am now 35 weeks pregnant and wonder how in the world can she grow anymore. She is kicking me like crazy and I am having a hard time getting comfortable. And of course the ever growing fear that I am waddling as I walk :) It is crazy to me to think that she could come at anytime over the course of the next 5 weeks....wow, that is scary!! I am so ready to see her little face but yet at the same time, I am enjoying this time of just me and Clark :)
Please be praying for me as well, my poor emotions seem to be getting the best of me lately. I seem to cry all the time and when I mean cry, it isn't just a tear that trickles down the cheek. I always feel better after I do cry, but yet I feel so bad for Clark having to deal with me. I know that my hormones are out of whack, it's just so hard to feel "in control" when you can't even control the tears that fall down from your face!!!
Well, this is pretty random, but I did want to update you all and let you know what is going on around here....my week consists of writing thank you notes, going grocery shopping and taking naps! Not too bad eh??? :)

So, I had great plans to write you all and let you know how last week went and now the time has gotten away from me again and I am headed to Scottsboro!! This is my LAST out of town trip until Sadie comes...the whole month of May I will be at home, I don't know what I will do with myself!! :) Probably sleep as much as possible! I will try to write in the next few days, I just didn't want to leave you all hanging thinking that I was still on that jet plane!!!

Leavin on a jet plane....

Clark and I are headed out of town to a conference in Virginia that will let us know when we are headed overseas!! Please be lifting us up as there will be a lot of information shared with us and also a lot of interviews. Also be praying that I can keep up my strength, my energy has been on the low side... I will let you know how things go when we get back....so until then...have a great week!! :)

Sit with me for a while and let's catch up....

Yesterday, I had to go in for a 3 hour test to see if I have gestational diabetes.  It was not fun at all!! I hate being stuck with a needle so the thought of being stuck 4 times was just a bit too much for me!! I got through it though by thinking this is a piece of cake compared to labor! :) Isn't it funny how your tolerance of pain changes knowing or having already had a child!! It makes me laugh! :) The nurse told me that the sugar water I was drinking would for sure make my stomach feel bad and if I threw up I would have to reschedule the test for a later date.  That did not make me happy.  By the 2nd time they took my blood,  I thought I was about to throw it all up.  I kept thinking, no way, I have already been stuck twice, I a half way there!! I went out to my car and just relaxed a bit and thankfully the feeling went away.  I made it through the test, completely exhausted when I got home.  I had no idea that something like that could take it out of me! They told me that  I should have the results in 2 days, so I will make sure to let you all know if I am going to be without sugar my last 2 months of pregnancy, oh how I hope not!!!!

In other news, I am going to get a 4-D ultrasound on Thursday morning.   I am super excited to see how my little girl is developing and changing, I will be sure to post pictures so you all can see too!

Last night, Clark was speaking at Young Life and the whole time he was speaking, Sadie was moving in my stomach, it was the neatest thing to see how she recognized her Daddy's voice.  I love it!!!

Today is Clark's Birthday!! I LOVE birthdays so much and had high hopes to make it so special for him.  But he has to work and we have child birth class tonight.   I hate it when we have to adults!!  But on another note, I am very thankful for him and wouldn't trade him for anything in this world.  It has been neat to see how God has brought us together and our love for each other grows more and more each day! I love you sweetie and Happy Birthday!!!

A friend of mine recently blogged that when writing her entries she feels like it is like having her friends join her at the kitchen table as she shares her most recent events in her life....so friends, thanks for joining me at the table today!!
