Quick Update...

I went in this morning for my 39th week appointment.  Sadie is still inside cooking! :) I have thinned out a little more and still haven't dilated yet.  So, we scheduled next week's appointment for June 3rd (my due date).  If she doesn't come by then, I will be induced on June 4th at 3pm.  My prayer is that she will come on her own this week, but at least I do know that if that doesn't happen by this time next week, I will be starting the process of having this little one!  I just wanted to keep you all updated!!
Thanks for your prayers!

Last night I thought I should take a few pictures of my pregnant self because who knows when Sadie might choose to appear! I didn't want to regret not having some pictures.  Clark just took a few of me at the house and then I had a little fun editing them on our computer :) So, I thought I would just post a few of them here for your viewing pleasure!!!

Recipes anyone???

Once again, I am borrowing an idea from my friend Laura Beth.....:) Thanks LB!

I have been stumped lately on what to cook for dinner or any meal as a matter of fact!! I would love to hear recipes that you all find to be easy and your family enjoys...please leave me a comment and let's see how many good ideas we can come up with!!! :)

Thanks friends!!!!

Babymoon

My friends overseas told me about their babymoon that they took back in January. I wrote her back with a puzzled look my face wondering what in the world is a babymoon. She tells me that it can be defined as a time for husband and wife to get away before the baby comes. This might be the last time that you have this time together for a while. So, Clark and I were talking last week and we decided that we needed a babymoon too!!! Since I am in my 38th week, we couldn't travel very far, so we went to Lake Martin about 40 minutes from here. We have some friends who have a lakehouse and they let us use it for a few days. It was absolutely wonderful!!! We got caught up on much needed time together, I got to read my book and we went on the lake 2 of the days. It was so nice to get away. And Clark even made me a steak dinner. It was so yummy and so nice to be served! All in all we had a great babymoon and I am so thankful for that time with him.

Update on my doctor's appointment today: still the same as last week, I have been having contractions off and on during the week but nothing major! So, Sadie still needs to cook a bit longer. I am completely fine with that! I am enjoying my days of having naps!! So, two more weeks guys...can you believe it's coming down to the last few weeks, wow this has gone by so fast!!!

Update...

I went to the doctor yesterday and Sadie is now 6 pounds and 10 ounces. It is so crazy to think that she is already that big in my belly!! The ultrasound tech said that she has big cheeks and a big belly! I wonder what that means!! But thank goodness she has an average size head. The doctor said that I am 50 percent effaced and not dialated. But my body is starting to make the transition so litte bit will be here before you know it!! Today is 20 days and counting...so hopefully she will make her appearance into the world soon....
Update on sleep: I have been sleeping much better, it really was just a few days that were bad. I am guessing she has moved off my lungs...so praise the Lord for that!! Hey, at least I got a funny story out of it, right?? :)
Well, I am back to writing thank you notes...it never ends...but I am oh so grateful!!!

Making the Move

Last night I finally had to make the move. I didn't want to make the move at all but out of sheer desperation I knew my time had come. I have fought it off for quite some time because I had this feeling that I wouldn't be going back for a while, but last night was the night. I made the move from the bed to the recliner. Oh it was not a fun thing at all, but in order for me to be able to breathe, I knew I had to move. So, at 1 in the morning (hadn't slept any yet) I made the move, with 4 pillows and my blannket, I moved to the recliner. My sweet husband loves the couch so much that he made the move with me so we could sleep in the same room. I tossed and turned and couldn't get comfortable, so finally at 2 am, Clark said, let's go for a drive. His logic was, if I was in the car, I could very well fall asleep. I have been known to fall asleep very easily when he is driving. And so we tried it!! This city sure is a different place at 2 am in the morning. As we were driving around, Clark started craving a milkshake, so we went to McDonalds. Here we sat in the drive through at 2:30 am and wonder what are other people doing out this late at night. I mean, I had an excuse to be out, but what was their reasoning? Anyway, no milkshakes that night, so Clark opted for 2 hamburgers and a drink!! We kept driving around and about 3 am, I knew that I was not going to sleep at all. We came back home and I went back to the recliner, still trying to catch my breath. At about 3:30, I feel asleep and slept 2 whole hours! At 5:30, wide wake...sheesh...what was I to do? So, there I was, sleep deprived and wondering am I going to breathe and get sleep. So, I went BACK to my bed and used a million pillows and slept for 4 hours and woke up at 11 this morning. Needless to say, I still can't breathe and wonder if this child will ever drop so that I can breathe??? Then I called my mother and she broke the news to me that out of all four of us, we never dropped....oh my, this could be a LONG 3 weeks....that is if she comes on time.....
