The Guessing Game
So, I thought it would be fun to play the guessing game on the stats for little miss Sadie Katherine!! I figured at 30 weeks it was a good time to start guessing! So, I would love for you all to give your predictions on her stats: (Her due date is June 3rd)
Arrival Date/Time
Weight
Length
Color Hair (if at all!)
Here are my guesses:
May 27th 5:30 pm
7 1lbs 3 oz
20 inches
Strawberry Blonde (okay so this is my hopes, Clark's hair was kind of red and I had blonde, well I was bald till I was one! so, more than likely she will be bald, but I would love for her to have hair!!)
So, let the game begin!!! After she is born, I will post who was the closest :) And maybe there will be a prize or maybe just the satisfaction of being right :)
A Moment...
So, yesterday I had a moment...a moment of breakdown...and what was it over? Trying to decide if I should go to childbirth class. Could it really be that hard of a decision? Well, believe me it was! I had already signed up for the class but it was 55 dollars, and we just didn't have it at the end of the month. And then, I didn't want to go if it wasn't going to be useful. But then my mom thought it was a good idea and my prideful self thought, if I go into labor and don't know something that I should have known and my mom says "I told you so". I am going to be a very very not happy person!! So...in the end, through many tears and stress, Clark and I decided to bite the bullet and go! I am so glad that we did. Clark made me laugh so much, he kept calling himself the "coach". He would say "just let the coach do it" , "Just call me coach" It made me laugh!! And then at the end, he had to give me a 15 minute back and shoulder massage and the teacher wouldn't let them stop. It was AWESOME and worth the whole 55 dollars for just that!! :) But really, I think that it helped Clark so much to hear all that she had to say, because while I knew most of it (I read way to many books!!) he didn't know anything, so it was very helpful!! Any thoughts from you mothers or mothers to be on child birth class? Was it really helpful in the end??
On a side note....I had lots of fun pics to post from Easter, but somehow I left my camera in Scottsboro...so I will be posting them soon... :)
Sadie is moving like crazy...this is so much fun!! :) I just wish that I could sleep better and didn't feel exhausted all day.... *yawn* .....I am off to bed....

A short update...
So, I intended for these pictures to be at the end of the post, but I put them up last and so they at the top :) So enjoy these two pics and then read what's going on in my life...not too much but at least it's an update :)
Me and Vanessa both pregnant!!!
This is me: 28 weeks pregnant! I had a great time on Saturday visiting with friends that I haven't seen in a long time! Isn't it fun to connect with friends whom you have known for a huge portion of your life? I love being able to meet up with friends who maybe I haven't talked to in a year, but yet it's just like you saw them yesterday. And that is what I did on Saturday! It's funny how when you are pregnant and talking with "experienced moms" how the conversation always turns to babies. I love it. I am trying to be so teachable at this point in my life. I want to learn everything that I can before Sadie arrives. I know that there is so much more to learn, but I hope to at least try to learn a bit!! :) And that reminds me, I want to give you girls a BIG THANK YOU for all of your comments that you have left in regards to raising children, sleeping, breast feeding etc. it has helped me way more than you will ever know!!!
In other news...Vanessa (my best friend who lives in California) came home for a visit! We had the best time shopping (what we do best!) one day searching for bargains for our little ones. You see, she is also pregnant (12 weeks behind me) and we went in search of all kind of fun things. One of those being new jeans for me seeing as I have grown out of the 2 pairs that I have! And, I was able to find some, only 10 dollars to be exact!! I am loving being more comfortable the bigger that I get! I don't know if I will ever get used to having to zip and button jeans again...this is way to easy :)
Have a great week friends! !

Yesterday's Events
Yesterday morning, I woke up about 6am with stomach pains. I had been having them all night long, where it felt like pins and needles were going through my stomach and it was from my bellybutton over to my right side. I couldn't figure out what was going on. It had kept me up all night long. So, after several phone calls and talking to a few of my dear friends, I ended up talking to my doctor. He wanted me to come into the hospital to make sure everything was okay. He thought it might have been the stomach flu but just in case something was wrong with Sadie, they just wanted to check it out. I knew that it wasn't Sadie because that girl had been moving around all night and all morning, so I felt pretty good about it. I got to the hospital and they hooked me up to some monitors and everything was looking good. Her heartbeat was good, no contractions. They ruled out a bladder infection and kidney infection. So, the only thing left it could be was the stomach flu. The doctor gave me some medicine and sent me home. I slept yesterday from 10-3 and then from 9 until 10am this morning. It was some good stuff!!! But yet, I am not fully convinced it was the stomach flu, because yesterday afternoon I was better and today I am not nauseous at all, just tired. I never threw up or anything. So...who knows what exactly was happening to my body yesterday, but today is a new day, and hopefully it will not have any hospital visits in it! :)
On another note, I am teaching at a girls conference this weekend, so please be praying for that, as I am not fully prepared! :)
And one more thing, thanks to all of you ladies for responding to my last post. You gave such great advice and I cherish every comment that you leave! Thanks a million!!

So, I went to my first breastfeeding class last night. They strongly encouraged fathers to go, but we had YoungLife last night and Clark didn't get to come with me. (Which he wasn't too upset about at all!) He couldn't figure out why he needed to come with me, I kept telling him, "for support, honey!" Anyway...it was actually very informative and I am glad that I went. I feel much more confident about being able to give Sadie the nourishment she needs. It was so crazy though at how many techniques you have to remember and oh my prayer is that she will learn to latch on easy and it won't be painful!! I hate pain and I am dreading that part so much!! How many of you girls out there breast fed and how many bottle fed? I would love to know the pros and cons of both! :) It was great being able to hear all about the reasons why I should breast feed and I am sold on it, but would love to hear from others!!
Sadie is growing and moving more each day. When Clark gets home, I will get him to take a picture of my growing belly!! Only 2 months and 29 days left!! :) Wow, it's going by so fast!!!
