This past week the kids and I went down to Destin FL with my parents for a few days of relaxation on the beach. We had a wonderful time!! I would do it all over again even though I am paying for it now as I try to get the kids back on their normal schedule. Oh my has it been a day, Sadie has had many a melt downs. Anyway, back to the beach....the kids both enjoyed themselves as they played in the sand for the first time. Jack didn't care so much for the ocean water, it was pretty cold. Can't say that I blame him. But Sadie, oh she loved it all! She loved playing in the waves, playing in the sand and then enjoyed the pool with me. 
While we were down there, we went to a small little "village" called Baytown. It was so relaxing and so much fun to eat outside. I personally loved it because the kids could be as loud as they wanted! And then we rode a carousel and ate ice cream from waffle cones. All in all, it was perfect except we were missing my sweet hubby! Because he just started his job, he couldn't get off for our little get away. We missed him so much! But thankful he let us go and have fun. 
Thanks Mom and Dennis for a wonderful little get away! We had such a great time!
