Alive and well...

I realized after looking at my blog this morning that it has been a while since I have written! Well, we are alive and well around here.  We have moved out of our house and are officially living with the parents.  We are now up in north alabama enjoying time with my parents.  We have been having a good time.  Clark and I like to jokingly say that we are retired and now spending our days with Sadie deciding what we should do to entertain ourselves.  We are very blessed to have this time together with her and with our families.
I am planning on getting my camera out putting some new pictures on here of Sadie.  She is growing more and more each day.  We went last Thursday for her one month doctor's appointment.  She is now 10 pounds 9 ounces and is 22 1/2 inches long.  To tell you how much she has grown, she was 9 pounds 6 ounces, 20 inches long when she was born.  My little girl likes to eat!!!  She is getting MUCH better about sleeping at night.  For the past 5 nights she is doing a 5 hours stretch, I wake up to feed her and put her back down for 3-4 hours and feed for 15-20 minutes and then she goes back down and 3 hours later is up and ready to eat and start the day.  I have found that my friend Jen was so helpful in her thoughts of having a routine with her in the evening.  We have been trying our hardest to do that the past week or so and it really has helped! Now, of course every night is not perfect, but she is doing so much better.  I am so proud of her! I will admit, I think that the reason it was so hard a few weeks ago was because we were under so much stress of having to pack up our house and move and with my c-section, it was just not fun at all!! But better days are ahead :)
Well, that is just a quick update of the Forman household....I will try to add pictures soon. Right now I am just crossing my eyes that (okay, so I just had to leave what I wrote to begin with, to give you a laugh and let you know that is how tired I am, "crossing my eyes".. :) I meant to say,  crossing my fingers that my daughter's eyes will remain as heavy and as I look at her now, they are closed!!! And you know what that means....I can close my eyes too....so I am off...Have a great day!!

Yay for sleeps! Its amazing what 5 hours of uninterrupted sleep does! Have you started dreaming that you hear her crying yet? I used to do that all the time, wake up and realize she's not at all. LOL

Glad the routine is working!! And as far as "its not perfect every night"...well, neither is ours! LOL In 3.5 years of doing a routine, its rarely perfect. LOL

Wow, I can't imagine packing adn all that in the first month after having a baby! We're packing now and I"m barely handling it. LOL Props to you!!!

So good to hear that things are going well. Those first few weeks are the hardest, but how exciting that you and Clark get to spend so much time with her and each other! Sleep well, friend!

Glad you are all doing better! You know, they consider 5 hours "sleeping through the night"...!! Not for us, maybe, but for a newborn, that's it! Way to go, Sadie! I'm so glad things are falling into more of a routine now. I know you're enjoying being "retired" and visiting with your mom.

Love you.

Hey friend - when do you guys leave for your missionary training? If you come through NC, you know you have a place to stay with us!!!

I've been thinking about you and Miss Sadie lately. I hope you're having fun being a new mommy and enjoying these new moments that pass all too quickly.

Lots of Love!

well, Sadie is doing so good! When Luke was one month old I had to feed him once per hour at night! He only ate for 5-10minutes each time and then felt asleep. I tried to wake him up by pulling his ear by still useless. At that thim I really felt exhausting to have a baby.

Wow, I knew that I'd not been in touch with you for a while but didn't realize how behind I really was. Didn't even know you were expecting! Congrats!! AND I guess I now know why the phone number I had for you didn't work when I was in Bama recently, you've moved. Going back to China soon, huh. That's awesome! Though i still really would like to see you when visiting AL.... will you still be there at Christmas time?? We are expecting again too, and won't get to come at Thanksgiving. I would really really like to catch up with you. I think about how much we chatted while you were in China (the first time especially) and really miss being close like that. Well, guess I won't make this a book. I really do hope all is going well. Enjoy every minute with that little one. Isn't being a mommy the most wonderfulest thing ever. He he!
Love to hear from you,
