Quick Update...

I went in this morning for my 39th week appointment.  Sadie is still inside cooking! :) I have thinned out a little more and still haven't dilated yet.  So, we scheduled next week's appointment for June 3rd (my due date).  If she doesn't come by then, I will be induced on June 4th at 3pm.  My prayer is that she will come on her own this week, but at least I do know that if that doesn't happen by this time next week, I will be starting the process of having this little one!  I just wanted to keep you all updated!!
Thanks for your prayers!

Laura--- I was induced both times, and I have to say there's definitely something to be said for being able to plan ahead. However, I also have to say that you body does some weird stuff when you are induces that supposedly doesn't happen when you go into labor naturally...like when you start to nurse, the after-pains become way more intense than they normally would. The nurses and doctors said it wasn't that, but I have had SEVERAL girlfriends who were induced once and went into labor naturally the other times, and they all say it's true. I say all of this to tell you, if you do end up being induced, you may want to try and schedule Sadie's feeding times about 20 minutes after you've taken your pain medicine...this helped me TONS! Otherwise, being induced was not bad...of course, I never did it the other way either! I may not know what I'm talking about period! But I thought I would pass along my hard-learned lesson anyway! Take it for what it may or may not be worth! Love you friend, and I'll be thinking about you!

I'll be thinking of you in the days ahead Laura. I hope that Sadie will decide to come on her own. This may sound silly now, but make sure you trust your body and your birth coach(es). I don't know what I would have done without the support and encouragement of Chad, Mom, the midwives, and the nurse. They kept me going when I wanted to give up. AND, what everyone says about the pain all being worth it in the end is so true. Once they plopped Cady up on my tummy, I started to forget the pain and the memory of it has been fading ever since!
