Well, we are thankful that we are wrong today...we looked at Mom's ticket wrong and thought she was going to be leaving in the morning. Clark pushed us to confirm her flight and when we did we realized she leaves Saturday morning!! So yipee, we have a whole extra day with her!! :)
I do have to share this story though...this morning we were all packed up and ready to go to a neighboring city to take the kids to the doctor (checkups) and then stay the night for mom to leave the next morning. Well, on the way there, Sadie threw up 3 times!! We are guessing it was motion sickness because she was fine after that. But this would be the one time when I packed as light as possible and didn't have any clothes for Sadie at all. We put pjs on her and then she threw up on those and then all over the clothes in mom's bag. Needless to say after the 3rd time, we headed back home!! But now, we know that it was all God's providence because Mom would have headed to the airport a whole day early!!
But I do have a question, has anyone ever had a toddler with motion sickness?
PS. I forgot to add this picture yesterday and I just loved it so much that I wanted to share it with you!! :)

sorry to hear about Sadie! The one thing I can suggest to try in the future is child's dramamine (sp??). We have given this to our kids before and it seemed to work well when we were on a cruise ship for a few days. Maybe someone coming in from the states could bring it for you. There are probably other home type remedies that you could find online. Love to keep up with you all on your blog! Our little one will be here in just about 6 weeks! Blessings, Sarah
Micah has it! We've had trouble in the car, especially on bumpy mountain roads but also just on smooth interstates in the US!!
I always give the chewable dramamine to the kids, too when we fly. I put like a quarter of one in some juice and it dissolves. Works perfectly!
Laura, I just saw all 3 posts that I've missed. I checked and checked with no new posts, and then there were 3 I'd gotten behind on. LOVE the b&w family picture and also have been wondering when your mom would return to Scottsboro. Your babies are so cute! Sorry about the sickness. No remedies. The dramamine sounds good - and perhaps be careful what she eats prior to traveling. Kate, as a toddler, did that a bit. Once it was right after a stop at Cracker Barrel. ugh. I'd say travel with towels and paper towels and wipes.
Love hearing from you! Liz
