Keep you Laughing...

Living in Asia always keeps you laughing. The culture is so different here that sometimes you scratch your head and wonder what in the world?? I thought I would share a few of those scratch your head moments and hope that you can laugh with me!

Sadie has a flair for the dramatics as Clark likes to put it. He tells me that she gets that from me, now who would think that?? *Wink, wink* Well, I sometimes let her cry it out, whether it be when she needs to sleep or when she is in trouble for testing her boundaries. Now, I don't let her do this long but long enough for her to understand when she is in trouble or when it is sleeping, she falls asleep. My neighbors have a hard time with this. Now, granted, I don't blame them, it is hard to sleep when a crying 10 month old wakes up at 2am. The other day as I was leaving the house, my neighbor asks about Sadie. I tell her she has a cold and has been teething and that is why she has been crying. The neighbor proceeds to tell me that I need to take her to the hospital to get an IV and give her Chinese meds. And then to make sure that I pick her up when she cries or she will get a sore throat. Sore throat??? Oh my...definitely scratch your head....

Second, on the bus the other day, a woman told me that Sadie had a beautifully shaped head and that it meant that she would be very clever...while I will take that, still scratching the head....

Third, Clark came home from school with this funny story! (Vanessa, make sure you tell Kris this one!) His teacher decided to play a game with the students. She was going to describe a word in English and they had to write the character on the board and for those students (she meant Clark) who couldn't write the character could draw a picture. So, she proceeds to get on all fours and says "Murr, Murr" Clark looks at her and says, don't you mean "Moo?" She said, yeah "Moo, Moo" And Clark said, " Are you trying to be a cow?" Then he turns around and draws a cow with big udders and milk droplets coming down into a bucket. He got quite a few laughs from his classmates and then, scratched his head.. "Murrr??"

Fun times in Asia I tell you. We have moments like this everyday...and everyday we are thankful that we are here and love laughing about it, hope you laughed with us!!!
